Shar BeddowPresident
President Beddow started her career as a dispatcher in 1987 and moved into prevention in 1997, she is currently the Deputy Fire Marshal for Greater Naples Fire District. Shar teaches multiple fire inspector courses, and specialty topics such as fire alarms, generators, leadership, doors and hardware, and anything else to educate others on the fire code and standards to multiple fire prevention personnel in the state. Shar was awarded with the Florida fire inspector of the year in 2011.
Robert RewisVice President
Vice President Rewis is the Fire Chief / Fire Marshal for the Fort Myers Shores Fire Protection & Rescue Service District, Deputy Commander for the Lee County Fire Arson Task Force, and also on the board for the Florida Forestry Arson Alert Association representing District 17 (Caloosahatchee District). He holds an Associates degree in Fire Science from Florida Southwestern State College and a Bachelors in Fire Administration from Columbia Southern University. Chief Rewis started in the fire service at the age of 14 as a fire explorer with Bayshore Fire-Rescue, and started with FMSFD in 2005 at 19 years old and worked up through the ranks. He has taken and earned numerous certifications and also teaches at the Southwest Florida Public Service Academy teaching the future of the fire service.
David NotteTreasurer
David Notte has been involved in fire protection since 2005, holds both NICET and FASA/BASA certifications. David moved to Cape Coral in 1996 where he enjoys fishing and boating.
Jared ButterworthSecretary
Secretary Butterworth is the Relationship Manager for Wall Systems and serves as the ABC SWFL Young Professionals Head Chair. He began his career in life safety with Hilti back in 2017. Jared holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and is a diehard Seminole fan. Jared has a strong passion for making life safety a top priority in the construction industry as well as bringing consistency to the inspection community. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his two sons and his boxer named Diesel.
