Shar Beddow
President
President Beddow started her career as a dispatcher in 1987 and moved into prevention in 1997, she is currently the Deputy Fire Marshal for Greater Naples Fire District. Shar teaches multiple fire inspector courses, and specialty topics such as fire alarms, generators, leadership, doors and hardware, and anything else to educate others on the fire code and standards to multiple fire prevention personnel in the state. Shar was awarded with the Florida fire inspector of the year in 2011.

Robert Rewis
Vice President
Vice President Rewis is the Fire Chief / Fire Marshal for the Fort Myers Shores Fire Protection & Rescue Service District, Deputy Commander for the Lee County Fire Arson Task Force, and also on the board for the Florida Forestry Arson Alert Association representing District 17 (Caloosahatchee District). He holds an Associates degree in Fire Science from Florida Southwestern State College and a Bachelors in Fire Administration from Columbia Southern University. Chief Rewis started in the fire service at the age of 14 as a fire explorer with Bayshore Fire-Rescue, and started with FMSFD in 2005 at 19 years old and worked up through the ranks. He has taken and earned numerous certifications and also teaches at the Southwest Florida Public Service Academy teaching the future of the fire service.

Sanjay Oudi
Treasurer
Sanjay has been an active professional in the fire protection industry since 2016, launching his career as a helper and steadily advancing through roles as a foreman, fire sprinkler designer, and sales professional. He currently works at Total Fire Protection, where he leverages his extensive expertise and proven leadership to deliver effective fire protection solutions.
Highly engaged in the industry, Sanjay serves on three fire protection boards. He was elected Membership Chair of the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) Florida Chapter in 2023, Treasurer of the Lee County Fire Marshal Association Executive Board in 2025, and a NextGen Committee Member on the AFSA National Board in 2026—demonstrating his commitment to advancing the profession at both the local and national levels.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Sanjay relocated to Cape Coral, Florida in 2003. He is a graduate of North Fort Myers High School and continued his education at Florida Southwestern State College and Fort Myers Institute of Technology.
Outside of his professional life, Sanjay is a devoted family man. Married since 2013, he is a proud father of two and enjoys football, firearms, and spending quality time with his family.

Jared Butterworth
Secretary
Secretary Butterworth is the Relationship Manager for Wall Systems and serves as the ABC SWFL Young Professionals Head Chair. He began his career in life safety with Hilti back in 2017. Jared holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and is a diehard Seminole fan. Jared has a strong passion for making life safety a top priority in the construction industry as well as bringing consistency to the inspection community. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his two sons and his boxer named Diesel.
