AI Class

Bring: Computer and AI program of choice. The following are AI programs – MS Copilot, Gemini, Grok, Claude, Perplexity or ChatGPT. All have free access however you will need to sign up for an AI ($20 +/- for one month) to learn the full functionality of this class. Some agencies have MS Copilot on Office 365.
Course Contents: This hands-on training class is tailored for Fire Marshals and Inspectors to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in various administrative and operational tasks. Some of the AI tools to be expanded upon will include the following, however this is not an all-inclusive list.
- Report Writing – Improving clarity, structure, and consistency in official reports.
- Internal & External Emails – Streamlining communication with professional and concise messaging.
- Gathering & Summarizing Statistics – Using AI to gather and analyze data as well as supportdecision-making.
- Code Research – Enhancing efficiency in locating and interpreting fire codes and regulations.
- Excel Functions – Creating pivot tables and using other advanced Excel tools.
- Graphic Design – Drawing logos and visual materials for fire prevention and safety programs.
- PowerPoint Creation – Developing engaging presentations for public education and training.
- Legal & Policy Writing – Assisting in drafting directives, Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Life Safety & Education Missions – Supporting community outreach, safety initiatives, and training programs.
